FAQ
What’s the difference between LeanData and Traction Complete?
Both platforms live natively in Salesforce and help revenue teams route leads and manage account data. The difference shows up in depth. LeanData gives you a flexible FlowBuilder that handles any routing scenario, matching across six fields with up to 95% accuracy, and full audit logs that show exactly why a record went where it did. Traction Complete’s routing logic is narrower. Round Robin only works if you configure a First Response Timer, and its Visual History Logs offer basic information without the context teams need to troubleshoot. LeanData also bundles account hierarchies, scheduling, and buying group orchestration into one connected platform, while Traction Complete sells its capabilities as five separate products.
Is Traction Complete a good fit for enterprise B2B companies with complex Salesforce org structures?
It can work for simpler use cases, but it starts to strain as complexity grows. Traction Complete’s assignment logic is fairly rigid. It can only Round Robin records under specific timer conditions, and those settings apply to every assignment in the pool, whether that fits your business logic or not. Enterprise teams with multiple GTM motions, custom objects, and territory rules typically need more flexibility than that. LeanData’s FlowBuilder lets you reference data on any matched record, standard or custom, so your routing logic can reflect how your business actually operates instead of forcing your business to fit the tool.
Can revenue operations teams use Traction Complete to deduplicate accounts and merge child companies into parent records automatically?
Traction Complete can match contacts to accounts, and some teams use it for one time database cleanup. But it’s not built to keep your hierarchies current as an ongoing, automated process. LeanData takes a different approach. Our Account Hierarchy Match Node lets you reference an account’s Ultimate Parent, specific parent, or child accounts directly inside your routing logic, so hierarchies stay accurate and usable in real time, not just visualized once and left alone. If you need a one time cleanup project first, a dedicated data quality tool can help. Once your data is clean, LeanData keeps it that way.
Does Traction Complete support territory-based and account-based lead assignment so inbound leads always route to the right owner?
Traction Complete offers some territory and account-based assignment, but with real limits. It can only assign leads to a small set of predefined owners, such as the Owner ID or Last Modified ID, and several of its assignment steps work only on lead records, not accounts, contacts, or opportunities. LeanData routes any object type based on account ownership, territory, or any custom field you choose, with the same matching engine behind every assignment. That means a lead from a subsidiary account can route straight to the rep who owns the parent account, without extra configuration.
Which platform is stronger for lead-to-account matching, LeanData or Traction Complete?
LeanData’s matching engine checks six fields, including company, domain, name, email, phone, and address, with custom tiebreakers built in to land on the right match. Traction Complete’s default matching depends on Salesforce Duplicate Rules, which means customers have to set those rules up first, then configure and prioritize which ones to use. That extra setup step is often where accuracy gaps start. Teams managing high lead volume or messy CRM data tend to see fewer misroutes with LeanData’s approach, since matching accuracy is built into the platform rather than layered on top of Salesforce’s native tools.
